In 2012, Dr. Babar Rao developed and implemented the first (and only) confocal microscopy fellowship outside of Europe.  Thus far, half of Dr. Rao’s fellows have been international. so programs are customized based on the amount of time each fellow is able to spend on site.

The next Confocal Microscopy fellowship will commence on  July 1st, 2017.

The application deadline is  April 30th, 2017.

The program director is Babar K. Rao, MD, FAAD.

Fellows will learn relevant dermoscopy, skin pathology, and confocal microscopy. The fellow will be expected to travel between New York and New Jersey.  Compensation will be provided.

Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in dermatology or pathology.  Applicants will also be considered who have or are eligible for physician state licenses who are interested in dermatology or pathology in the context of confocal microscopy.

Fellowship applications are considered on a case-by-case basis.  Applicants should send CV’s with cover letter to info@NIDIskin.com for consideration.
